EVRAZ has facilities throughout North America and Russia, resulting in a broad portfolio of products and services for the railway industry. In 2011-2012 EVRAZ invested $900 million to install state-of-the-art processes and equipment, giving us some of the best production and product development capabilities in the world.
Advanced laboratory capabilities include:- Head-hardening simulation unit
- Fracture toughness and fatigue crack growth rate testing
- Disc-on-disc wear and rolling contact fatigue testing
We mine our own iron ore and use recycled scrap metal to produce more than 16 million tonnes of steel every year. Over 2 million tonnes goes into the products we manufacture for the EVRAZ rail division.
